Gonen and Oded, seasoned construction workers, joined forces in 2019 to create D&L Builders to provide customers with a wide variety of customized remodeling services. With their extensive experience in the construction industry, they are driven to not just deliver beautiful remodels to their customers but to do it with precision and tact. D&L Builders has now been serving San Diego County for over 4 years.
The Challenge
D&L came to us with a strong brand and mission but a weak website that wasn’t conducive to booking and navigating. Because of this, they were getting extremely low traffic and even fewer bookings. They knew that their website was outdated, but not that this was the reason they weren’t getting any calls.
The Solution
When D&L came to us with an outdated website, we knew that this was just the tip of the iceberg. We knew that for this particular industry, the best way to generate leads was through Yelp. After creating a profile for D&L on Yelp, we ran ad campaigns to get their name out there. After this, we created a unique SEO strategy that utilized the new website we created to boost online presence and traffic.
Spec 1: Building a New Website That Represents D&L
Our main goal for D&L was to create a website that emphasized their mission and values. We talked to Gonen and Oded about what that was to them. D&L puts customer satisfaction as their first priority with professionalism and attention to detail. We know that if customers see how passionate they are about doing the best remodels in San Diego County, they will be more interested in hiring them for their next project. We build a beautifully sleek site that showcases D&L’s remodeling abilities and their passion for the craft. The site was user-friendly so that potential customers would have no issue finding how to call or fill out form submissions.
Spec 2: Set Up Yelp to Generate Leads
Unfortunately, just having a strong website isn’t enough. We knew we had to get D&L’s name out there to generate leads. Yelp is the top lead generator in the home service industry, promising success for an ad campaign. We set up D&L with a Yelp profile and ran several ad campaigns to prioritize them above the competition. This alone brought in exponentially more quality leads than before.
Spec 3: Increase SEO to Get Organic Traffic
With so many other home builders in the area, D&L was struggling to get the website traffic they needed because their competitors outranked them on search engines. Additionally, after having an inoperative site for so long, their search engine prioritization was shot. We crafted an SEO plan that would get them organic and relevant traffic. Creating location pages, blog posts, and maximizing keywords allowed us to bring D&L toward the top of search results without spending money on Google Ads. As a long-term strategy, this method is built to last and will continue to bring in organic traffic as they grow.
The Results:
When we started with D&L we laid out our plan, explained our goals, and worked hard to rebuild their website to garner more attention. With their old website, they were getting little organic traffic. After reprioritizing their keywords and SEO strategy, we were able to bring a 1500% increase in their online traffic. But we’re not done! We’re still working hard to make D&L the top home remodel business in San Diego.
